Sponsored by Coast Builders Coalition, "2016 Coastal Day at the Capitol" on Monday, April 4th is an excellent opportunity for businesses, associations and civic groups interested in coastal restoration to hear a detailed report from Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority and the Governor's office on progress and plans for coastal restoration. Of particular interest for firms involved in the work of coastal restoration, or interested in becoming more involved, is the detailed afternoon briefing for industry by CPRA on the status of specific projects moving forward under the state Coastal Master Plan. This is a high-level briefing for legislators and the public, which typically draws an oversize crowd; so be sure to come early if you want to get a seat and hear the full proceedings.
